This young
Charger squad wasn't able to pick up a non-conference win at home.
Cypress, Calif. - Sophomore
Sharnen Chorn and freshman Breanna Posvar had tough matches at the No. 4 and No. 5
singles spots, with both falling in straight sets.
The Chargers closest match of the day came at the No. 3 singles
position with sophomore Theresa Roque, who finished out her singles match with a third set loss that gave Mt. SAC's Nicole Gandasutisna the win. The Chargers began the match a player short, and were only able to compete in the top five positions in singles, and the No. 1 and 2 spots in doubles. That forced Cypress to default at the No. 6 singles spot, and the No. 3 doubles position.
Freshmen
Nikki Thornburg, and Nadine Baquiran nearly pulled out a victory in the No. 1 doubles spot, but the duo eventually fell 8-6 to the Mounties Julianne Carluen and Ekah Penner.
The
Chargers are gearing up for their next home match against El
Camino College on Tuesday, Feb 14.
